Our technology partner WhereScape continues to enhance its data automation platform with significant updates across both RED and 3D. The newly released WhereScape RED 10.5 builds on the major Git-focused improvements introduced in version 10.4 earlier this year. Additionally, new WhereScape 3D release is scheduled for later this year, further strengthening Git integration and opening up new CI/CD workflows.

What’s New in RED 10.5?

RED 10.5 extends the Git-friendly foundation for CI/CD workflows established in the previous version and introduces a set of enhancements focused on usability, control, and scalability:

  • Streamlined installation and upgrade processes, simplifying deployment and ongoing maintenance
  • Enhanced control over failed and processed jobs, providing greater reliability and improved pipeline monitoring
  • User interface improvements, including updates to the profile maintenance wizard
  • Increased limits on the number of projects and groups, supporting larger-scale data environments

Coming Soon: WhereScape 3D New Release

The upcoming 3D release will focus on further strengthening Git integration. With this enhanced capability, it will be even easier for development teams and data architects to create custom 3D solutions and build highly tailored, efficient data warehouse designs and documentation to meet specific organizational needs.

In Case You Missed It: RED 10.4 Recap

Although RED 10.4 was released earlier this year, it represented a major upgrade that introduced several foundational capabilities:

  • Contextual workflow scripts integrated into RED’s user interface
  • JSON metadata export to support automated deployment and testing
  • Improved Git operations, enabling push/pull and commit actions through integrated check-in/check-out scripts
  • New RedCLI commands and API endpoints, such as the export-all function, simplifying metadata extraction and CI/CD integration
  • Advanced merge settings in WhereScape 3D, allowing more precise updates to source mappings

Together, these updates provide a stronger foundation for agile, version-controlled data warehousing and reflect WhereScape’s ongoing commitment to automation, transparency, and development efficiency.
